Highlight of the Week #1: Ki Seon‑gyeom asks Oh Mi-joo to be his Girlfriend on K-Drama ‘Run On’
Here’s my heartfelt confession – Run On is an underrated drama series. It doesn’t have any complicated love triangle or quadrilateral, no immature conversations that make you want to rent out your brains to the protagonists, or dramatic dialogues. I love how straightforward and strong each character is, and how they learn from each other.
Speaking of confessions, the highlight of this week is from Episode 10 where Ki Seon-gyeom asks Oh Mi-joo to be his girlfriend.
Kim Seon-gyeom is an innocent yet honest and straightforward individual. He fights for what’s right and supports and encourages those he loves till the end. If that isn’t good enough, he shows respect to every single person he comes across and goes out of his way to take care of the woman he loves. I mean, this man is the real deal.
Alpha males can take a hike. Thank you very much.
I was sure that Seon-gyeom’s love confession wasn’t going to let me down. The good news is that it was better than expected. Here’s why his profession of love is the highlight of the week:
- Seon-gyeom tells her that her affection gives meaning and value to his life. This acknowledgement shows that he is thankful for her presence. Brownie points for that.
- Despite knowing Min-joo likes him, he does not take her feelings for granted. He says he is unsure about her feelings for him and asks if she wants to hold hands, hug, and kiss him. He also affirms his feelings for her by saying he wants to do all these with her.
- Respect and priority for Min-joo’s feelings, clear communication and humbleness make Seon-gyeom’s profession of love worth remembering.
Also, Min-joo’s reply was just as exhilarating. She sealed the deal right away.
